Terms of Use

Effective date: 17 June 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Trifold app (“Trifold,” “the app”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use Trifold on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the App Store Terms of Service.

2. Purchases

The three daily puzzles are free. Trifold offers one optional in-app purchase, Trifold Unlimited — a one-time, non-consumable purchase (suggested price $6.99, shown at your local price in the app) that unlocks unlimited practice puzzles and the full daily archive. There is no subscription. The purchase supports Family Sharing. All transactions are processed by Apple; refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, modify, or attempt to extract the source code of the app except to the extent permitted by law, and not to use the app for any unlawful purpose.

4. Intellectual property

The Trifold name, design, artwork, and software are owned by the developer and protected by applicable law. The underlying logic-puzzle concepts are part of the public domain; the licence above does not transfer any ownership rights to you.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

Except for any guarantees, rights, or remedies that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law, Trifold is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under consumer law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Apple’s Standard EULA

If any conflict exists between these Terms and Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”), the Standard EULA applies to the extent of that conflict for apps obtained through the App Store.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there. This does not deprive you of protections under the law of your country of residence that cannot be excluded by agreement.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
